AND MUNICIPALITY – ORDERS – ISSUED.

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the term of the Special Officers of Kandukur Municipality and Nagarpanchayats of

Rajampet, Nellimarla & Rajam extended upto 30-06-2018 for a further period of (6) months from

the date of expiry of the terms or till the elected body comes into office whichever is earlier.

And whereas, Government is of the opinion that ordinary elections to the above Urban Local

Bodies could not be held in accordance with the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act,

1965, the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporations Act, 1981, the Andhra Pradesh Municipal

Corporations Act, 1994 due to prevailing situation in the light of bifurcation of A.P. State and also

due to pending Court Cases in respect of certain Urban Local Bodies.

The Director of Municipal Administration, A.P., Guntur is hereby relieved and appointed the

RDMAs concerned as Special Officer for Kandukur Municipality and Nagarpanchayats of Rajampet,

Nellimarla & Rajam.
