SPECIAL COURTS - SPECIFYING THE JURISDICTION OF TWO COMMERCIAL

COURTS SANCTIONED, AT VIJAYAWADA AND VISAKHAPATNAM.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-sections (1) and (2) of

Section 3 of the Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial

Appellate Division of High Courts Act, 2015, (No. 4 of 2016), and in partial

modification of the earlier Notification issued in G.O. Ms. No. 74, Home (Courts A)

Department, Dated: .10-6-2016, and published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette

Part-II Extraordinary No. 268, Dated: 10-6-2016, the Government of Andhra

Pradesh, in consultation with the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the

State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh, hereby notify that two

(2) Special Courts i.e., “Commercial Courts”, in the cadre of Sessions Judge one

each at Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada in Krishna District as sanctioned vide

G.O. Ms. No. 27, Home (Courts A) Department, Dated: 1-3-2017 and G.O. Ms.

No. 168, Finance (HR. II) Department, Dated: 21-9-2017 in their respective

Districts, shall have and exercise jurisdiction only over the limits of Municipal

Corporation areas of Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, respectively, for trial and

disposal of Commercial Disputes.
