N O T I F I C A T I O N

Whereas, it has been brought to the notice of the Government of Andhra

Pradesh that the ancient Temple known as Sri Ajendla Kotayyaswamy

Sahitha

Bhakthanjaneya

Swamy Temple,

Konathamatmakur (Village),

Nandigama (Mandal), Krishna District, as specified in the appended

Schedule, is considered to be of Archaeological and Historical importance;

And whereas, the Government are of the opinion that Sri Ajendla

Kotayyaswamy Sahitha Bhakthanjaneya Swamy Temple, Konathamatmakur

(Village), Nandigama (Mandal), Krishna District requires protection under the

provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and

Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act VII of 1960);

And whereas, the Government, have issued Notification in the G.O.Ms.No. 66

YAT & C (PMU) Department, Dated: 16-6-2011and the same has been published

in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No. 326 Dated: 30-8-2011 at Page.No.3, its

intention to declare the said ancient Temple to be a protected monument by

giving two months notice as required under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the

Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and

Remains Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act VII of 1960);

And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received by the

Government to the declaration of the said Sri Ajendla Kotayyaswamy

Sahitha Bhakthanjaneya Swamy Temple, Konathamatmakur (Village),

Nandigama (Mandal), Krishna District, to be a protected monument during the said

period of two months.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of

Section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and

Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act VII of 1960)

and in supersession of the orders issued in G.O. Ms. No.25, YAT&C Deptt.,

Dt: 15.02.2012 the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby declares that the

ancient Sri Ajendla Kotayyaswamy Sahitha Bhakthanjaneya Swamy Temple,

Konathamatmakur (Village), Nandigama (Mandal), Krishna District as specified

in the Schedule to be a protected monument as the same having been previously

published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette as required under sub-section (1) of

Section 4 of the said Act.
