PROHIBITION OF STRIKES IN THE ESSENTIAL SERVICES OF DEPARTMENTS OF

SRI DURGA MALLESWARA SWAMY VARLA DEVASTHANAM, VIJAYAWADA,

UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE ANDHRA PRADESH ESSENTIAL

SERVICES MAINTENANCE ACT, 1971, FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS

WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (a) of

sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services

Maintenance Act, 1971 (Act No.20 of 1971), Government hereby declare the

services in the Kesa Khandanasala Department, Water-works Department,

Electricity

Department,

Sanitation

Department,

Medical

Department,

Engineering Department, Transport Department, Anna Prasadam Department,

Security Department, Temple Administration Department, etc., which are

under the administrative control of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla

Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada, to be an “Essential Service” for the

purposes of the said Act.

NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

Whereas, the Government are satisfied that in the public interest, it is

necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in all the above said Essential

Services under the control of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam,

Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada, for a period of six months with immediate effect.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the

Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Act No.20 of 1971),

the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibit strikes in the aforesaid

essential services of Departments under the control of Sri Durga Malleswara

Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada, for a period of six

months with immediate effect.
