6.

The Government have examined the matter in detail and observed that

the appointment of Kum.P.V.Sindhu, Badminton Player as Probationary

Deputy Collector is for her remarkable performance and winning Silver Medal

in the Rio Olympics, 2016 and for the honour she earned for the State and

Nation as well. Her appointment is of special nature, an incentive to her

performance on international arena and a sort of encouragement. She

acts as Ambassador of Andhra Pradesh and the Country. Considering the

special requirement of this officer to train continuously and represent our country

in International arena, and bring laurels to the State and the Country, insisting

upon the training and passing of tests which the other Probationary Deputy

Collectors are supposed to undergo may hamper the special nature of training

and coaching and it may be an hindrance to their advancement and career.

Therefore decided to relax rules in her favour and exempt her from undergoing

the prescribed training and from passing the requisite departmental tests.

7.

Accordingly, the Government hereby relax the Rule 9 and 10 of Andhra

Pradesh Civil Services (Executive Branch) Rules, 1992 in favour of

Collector and exempt her from undergoing the prescribed 72 weeks of
