NOTIFICATION

Whereas in the notification issued in the G.O.Ms.No 01.Dated: 08.01.2019,

Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS.I) Department Dated: 08.01.2019,

the Government of Andhra Pradesh have declared the services under Targeted

Public Distribution System in Andhra Pradesh as an essential service under

sub-clause (vi) of clause (a) of sub section (1) of Section 2 of the Andhra

Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 ( Act 20 of 1971);

And whereas, Government are satisfied that in the public interest it is

necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in the services under Targeted

Public Distribution System in Andhra Pradesh;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of

Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971

(Act 20 of 1971) the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibits strikes

in Targeted public Distribution system in Andhra Pradesh for a period of

six months with effect from the date of publication of the notification in the Andhra

Pradesh Gazette.
