EXEMPTION OF MOTOR VEHICLES TAX IN RESPECT OF THREE-WHEELED

CONTRACT CARRIAGES (PASSENGER AUTORICKSHAWS) WITH

SEATING CAPACITY OF FOUR, FIVE, SIX AND SEVEN IN ALL; THREE-

WHEELED GOODS CARRIAGES (LIGHT GOODS VEHICLES) UP TO THE

GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT (GVW) OF 3000 Kgs; TRACTORS AND

TRACTOR-TRAILERS USED FOR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSE AND

ALSO TO WRITE OFF THE CUMULATIVE ARREARS OF MOTOR

VEHICLES TAX.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh

Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1963 (Act 5 of 1963), the Governor of Andhra

Pradesh hereby grants exemption of the tax payable under the said Act in

respect of three-wheeled contract carriages (passenger Autorickshaws) with

seating capacity of four, five, six and seven in all; three-wheeled Goods Carriages

(Light Goods Vehicles) up to the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 3000 Kgs; Tractors

and Tractor-Trailers used for agricultural purpose and also write off the cumulative

arrears of motor vehicles tax up to the date of this Notification in respect of

three-wheeled contract carriages (passenger Autorickshaws) with seating

capacity of four, five, six and seven in all; three-wheeled Goods Carriages

(Light Goods Vehicles) up to the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 3000 Kgs;

Tractors and Tractor-Trailers used for agricultural purpose.
