OFFICER, GUDUR MUNICIPALITY IN PLACE OF SUB-COLLECTOR,
GUDUR - ORDERS – ISSUED.

NOTIFICATION
Where as in the reference 1st read above orders were issued for appointing Special
Officers for ULBs among which, the Sub-Collector, Gudur has been appointed as Special
Officer for Gudur Municipality for a period of six (6) months with effect from 03.07.2019 or
till the elected body comes into office whichever is earlier.
Where as in the reference 2nd read above the Commissioner & Director of Municipal
Administration, A.P., Guntur has stated that the Collector & District Magistrate, SPSR
Nellore District in his letter dt.19.11.2019 has submitted that Hon’ble MLA, Gudur in his
letter dt. 06.11.2019 has represented stating that the Gudur Municipality has upgraded to the
1st Grade Municipality and there are works like widening of roads, formation of new roads,
drainages and improvement of parks have to be taken up with in span of 3 months and funds
worth Rs.5.50 Crores have to be spent within 3 months in Gudur Municipality from 14th
Finance Commission and General Funds. At present the Sub-Collector, Gudur Municipality
has been kept in charge to the post of Special Officer, Gudur Municipality besides his regular
post as sub Collector, Gudur and the Sub-Collector post dealing with several schemes
like distribution of house site pattas and Navartna the schemes besides other Government
schemes have been to implemented by him and as such the works in Gudur Municipality
will affected. Hence, he has requested to appoint the Project Director, MEPMA, Nellore as
Special Officer, Gudur Municipality in place of Sub-Collector, Gudur.
