ISSUANCE OF NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 28 (1) AND SECTION 42 (1)

OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 2019 FOR ESTABLISHMENT

OF STATE COMMISSION / DISTRICT COMMISSIONS IN THE STATE OF

ANDHRA PRADESH.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 102 of the

Consumer Protection Act, 2019, (Central Act No. 35 of 2019), read with G.S.R.448 (E),

published in Part II - Section -3, Sub-section (i) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,

Dated 15^th July, 2020, and in supersession of the Andhra Pradesh State Consumer

Protection Rules, 1987 in so far as they relate to matters covered under these rules,

except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the

Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby establish the State Commission in the

State and 17 District Commissions in 13 Districts of the State.

The President and every other member of the State Commission as well as 17

District Commissions in 13 Districts appointed immediately before the commencement

of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 shall continue to hold office as the President and

Members of the State Commission and District Commission respectively as provided

in Section 56 of the said Act.
