NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 200 and 201 of the Andhra

Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and the Andhra Pradesh Conduct of Election of Co-

opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishads and Co-opted

Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2006 issued

in G.O.Ms.No.173, PR & RD (Elections) Dept, dt.10.05.2006, the State Election

Commission, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Vizianagaram

to conduct election of Vice-Chairperson, Zilla Praja Parishad, Vizianagaram, in

accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Rules and specifies the election

schedule for the election to the said office in the Annexure appended to this

Notification.

(Schedule for conduct of election to the casual vacancy of Vice-Chairperson,

Zilla Praja Parishad, Vizianagaram)

Notice to be given in Form-IX by the District Collector,

Vizianagaram, calling for Special Meeting for conduct of election

of Vice-Chairperson, Zilla Praja Parishad, Vizianagaram.

(This Notice should be given to all the Members of the Zilla

Praja Parishad specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of Sec. 177(3) of

A.P. Panchayat Raj Act 1994)

On or before

18.11.2021

Date and time for Special Meeting for the election of

Vice-Chairperson, Zilla Praja Parishad, Vizianagaram.

At 11.00 AM on

22.11.2021

Note:

1. Quorum for election of Vice-Chairperson shall be fulfilled as stipulated under Rule 20

A.P. Conduct of Election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal

Praja Parishads and Co-opted Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja

Parishad Rules, 2006.

2. If for any reason election of Vice-Chairperson is not held on 22.11.2021, it shall be held

on the next day, i.e., on 23.11.2021 at 11.00 A.M. whether or not it is observed as a

holiday by the Zilla Praja Parishad, Vizianagaram.
