The following notification dated:23rd November, 2021 is published:-
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, in pursuance of the Notification issued by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on
09.11.2021 under section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) for election
to the three (3) seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council by the Members of the Legislative
Assembly, who were retired on the 31st May, 2021 on the expiration of their term of office;
And whereas, the Election Commission of India has issued Notification on 09.11.2021
under sub-section (1) of section 39 and section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951
(43 of 1951) fixing the schedule for election by the Members of the Legislative Assembly;
And whereas, the election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council by the Members of the
Legislative Assembly was uncontested and three (3) members have been declared as elected on
22.11.2021 by the Returning Officer;
