NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

Disciplinary proceedings duly framing article of charges, were initiated against

Sri B. Appala Naidu, the then EE, among others, in respect of allegations of irregularities in

construction of bridge in Jalumuru Mandal of Srikakulam District, vide reference 4^th read

above. Sri B.Appala Naidu, the then EE, submitted his WSD, vide reference 5^th read above.

After careful examination of the matter, Government, appointed Sri K.Sahadeva

Reddy, Member, Commissioner of Inquries, as Inquiring Authority to inquire into the

charges framed against Sri B. Appala Naidu, the then EE, among others, vide reference

6^th read above. Sri K.Sahadeva Reddy, Member, COI and enquiry officer, submitted the

enquiry report, vide reference 7^th read above. Enquiry officer, in the findings, stated

that the article of charges framed against Sri B.Appala Naidu, the then EE is held proved.

Government have communicated a copy of enquiry report to the CO, viz.,

Sri B.Appala Naidu, the then EE, now retired, vide reference 8 ^th read above.

Sri B.Appala Naidu, the then EE, now retired, has submitted his explanation on enquiry

report, vide reference 9^th read above.

After careful examination of the matter, Government have provisionally decided to

impose a punishment of 5% cut in pension permanently on Sri B.Appala Naidu, the

then EE, now retired under Rule 9 of Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension, 1980. Accordingly,

Sri B.Appala Naidu, the then EE, now retired is directed to show cause as to why the

punishment of 5% cut in pension permanently should not be imposed on him for the said

irregularities. He is directed to submit his written statement of defense within (10) days

from the date of receipt of this memo, failing which, it will be construed that he has no

explanation to offer in his defense, and further action will be taken against him based

on the material available on record under Rule 9 of Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension

Rules, 1980 read with Rule 20 of Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1991.
