The following notification dated: 02nd December, 2021 is published:-
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, in pursuance of the Notification issued by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on
16.11.2021 under section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) for
Biennial Elections to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council for (11) members from (8) Local
Authorities’ Constituencies i.e., Anantapur, Krishna, East Godavari, Guntur, Vizianagaram,
Visakhapatnam, Chittoor and Prakasam Local Authorities’ Constituencies for the purpose of filling
up the 11 seats of the members of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, who were retired on
11.08.2021 on the expiration of their term of office;
And whereas, the Election Commission of India has issued Notification on 16.11.2021
under sections 30 and 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) fixing the
schedule for said election;

And whereas, the election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from (8) Local
Authorities’ Constituencies i.e., Anantapur, Krishna, East Godavari, Guntur, Vizianagaram,
Visakhapatnam, Chittoor and Prakasam Local Authorities’ Constituencies was uncontested and
eleven (11) members have been declared as elected on 26.11.2021 by the concerned Returning
Officers;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 74 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951
(43 of 1951), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby notifies the names of the members elected
for the said Council Constituencies along with their party affiliation below:
