COMMISSION - REQUESTING TO CONFER MAGISTERIAL POWERS TO THE
ZONAL OFFICERS.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 21 of the Code of Criminal
Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby
appoint the Officers specified in column (2) of the Annexure appended to this
notification as Executive Magistrates to be known as Special Executive Magistrates
with effect from the date of publication of Notification till the completion of Ordinary
Elections to Urban Local Bodies i.e to Eluru Municipal Corporation in 45, 46 wards,
Kovvur Municipality for 23rd ward and Akiveedu Nagar Panchayat in West Godavari
District to be held in the year 2021 and confer on them the powers under sections 37,
44, 103, 129, 133, 143, 144, 174 (4) and 176 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
(Central Act 2 of 1974) in their respective jurisdictions as allotted by the Collector &
District Magistrate, West Godavari District.
