DECLARATION OF SPECIAL UNIT AT, SEB COMMISSIONERATE WITH STATE

WIDE JURISDICTION AND ALL SEB STATIONS WITH CORRESPONDING

JURISDICTIONS AS POLICE STATIONS.

NOTIFICATION

In the exercise of the powers conferred by clause (s) of Section 2 of the Code of

Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Government of Andhra Pradesh

hereby declares that the Special Unit at Special Enforcement Bureau Commissionerate

with State wide jurisdiction and all Special Enforcement Bureau Stations with corresponding

jurisdictions shall be as Police Stations for the purpose of offences under the Andhra

Pradesh Gaming Act, 1974, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Act, 1985,

the Andhra Pradesh Forest Act, 1967, the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968,

the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition Act, 1995 and Mines and Mineral (Development &

Regulation) Act, 1957 and related offences under general law. The Provisions of

Cr.P.C. applicable to Police Stations, shall be applicable, mutatis mutandis, to SEB

Stations and in exercise of the powers conferred under clause (o) of section 2 of the

Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) declares that the in-charge of

Special Units as well as Station House Officers of corresponding SEB stations shall be

the officer in-charge of a Police Station.
