ORDER:

In the reference lst read above, Sri Kuppa Siva Subramanya Avadhani, Sri Bharati

Dharmanusthana Parishat, Kapra, Hyderabad has requested to hand over the management of

Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple, Hamsaladeevi, Krishna District, the adopted temple of Sri

Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada to Sri Sringeri

Jagadhguru Mahasamsthanam, Sringeri, Karnataka State

2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Commissioner of Endowments, AP, Vi].ayawada

reported that Sri Venugopal Swamy Temple, Hamsaladeevi is nearly 100 kms far away to Sri

Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada, so that the

monitoring of the temple is very difficult and hence no objection to cancel the adoption of Sri

Venugopal Swamy Temple, Hamsaladeevi from Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla

Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada and to hand over to Sri Sringeri Jagadguru Maha

Samsthanam, Sringeri, Karnataka State duly granting exemption from sections 15 and 29 of

the Act 30 of 1987 and requested the Government to issue orders accordingly.

3. Government after careful examination in the matter hereby agreed to the proposal for

cancellation of the adoption of Sri Venugopal Swamy Temple, Hamsaladeevi, Krishna District

from Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada and to hand

over the administration of the same to Sri Sringeri Jagadguru Maha Samsthanam, Sringeri,

Karnataka State duly granting exemption from section 15 and 29 of the Act 30/1987 for a

period of 10 years subject to the following conditions:

1. That Gold and silver should not be sold/ converted without any specific permission from

the Commissioner.

2. That account shall be maintained properly for all the donations, Hundial, expenses etc.

and all payments shall be done through bank transactions only. All the accounts shall

be audited annually through a reputed Chartered Accountant firm and a copy of the

same shall be handed over to the District Assistant Commissioner, Endowments, before

30th June every year.

3. That the land belonging to the temple shall not be sold/alienated without the prior

approval of the Commissioner of Endowments.

4. That they should pay the salaries to employees regularly, in their respective pay scales,

before 5th of every month and the Archaka possession lands shall not be disturbed

without the specific permission of the Commissioner.

5. That they should strictly follow the existing Agama, traditions and prevailing practices of

the temple.

6. The rights of the donors, traditional Kalyanadars, sevadars shall be preserved, without

any deviation.

7. That they shall submit accounts and budget for approval every year and allow the

Distri`ct Assistant Commissioner, Endowments for verification.

8. The handed over orders will be cancelled without any notice, if any deviation is found

from the stipulated conditions.

4. Accordingly, the following Notification shall be published in the next issue of Andhra

Pradesh Gazette:-

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of powers conferred under section 154 of Andhra Pradesh Charitable and

Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act 1987, Government of Andhra Pradesh

hereby grant exemption to Sri Venugopal Swamy Temple, Hamsaladeevi, Krishna District from

the operations of sections 15 & 29 of the APCHRI &Endowments Act,30/87 for a period of 10

years subject to the following conditions:

1. That Gold and silver should not be sold/ converted without any specific permission from

the Commissioner.
