MA & UD Department – Allegations against Sri Kothamaddi Suresh Babu, Mayor, Kadapa

Municipal Corporation on violating the provisions of GHMC Act, 1955 and executing several

civil contracts works in the Kadapa Municipal Corporation jurisdiction through a firm

M/s. Vardhini Constructions which is owned by his immediate family members viz., his wife,

Smt. Kothamaddi Jayasree and his son – Removal from the office of Mayor, Kadapa

Municipal Corporation – Orders Issued.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 679(B)(1) of the GHMC Act, 1955,

the Government hereby removes Sri Kothamaddi Suresh Babu from the office of Mayor,

Kadapa Municipal Corporation, with immediate effect, for having committed irregularities in

the execution of several civil contract works within the jurisdiction of Kadapa Municipal

Corporation through a firm M/s. Vardhini Constructions, which is owned by his immediate

family members, and thereby having wilfully disobeyed the provisions of law and abused the

powers vested in him under the Act.
