NOTIFICATION-I

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh

Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016), the

Government of Andhra Pradesh having regard to the need for the promotion of development

activities relating to as a Urban Development Authority to achieve the objectives of the region

witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of Industries, Imports and Exports etc. hereby

specify a special Urban Development Area for the area comprised within the jurisdiction of West

Godavari District consisting of 6 Urban Local Bodies(ULBs), and 19 Mandals and 282

villages to an extent of 2174.675 Sq.Kms with Head Quarters at Bhimavaram as specified in the

Schedule appended to this notification to be a Urban Development Area for the purpose of the

said Act and the said Area shall be as "Bhimavaram Urban Development Authority (BHIMA

UDA)".

NOTIFICATION – II

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (ii) of sub-section (3) of

section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act,

2016, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby constitute an Urban Development Authority for

the area specified in the Notification – I above for the purpose of the said Act and the said

Authority shall be called as the “Bhimavaram Urban Development Authority (BHIMA UDA)”

and shall consist of the following members, namely:-

a The Chairperson to be appointed by the Government;

Chairperson

b the ‘Vice-Chairperson’ – who is a Government Officer to be

appointed by the Government, shall be the whole time Chief

Executive Officer of the Authority and shall be the

Member Convernor:

c Director of Town and Country Planning or his Nominee, and

Member:

d OSD /Joint / Deputy Secretary to Government, Municipal

Administration &Urban Development Department

Member:

e Joint / Deputy Secretary to Government, Finance Department -

Member;

Member:

f Officers not more than four, dealing with Transportation, Roads &

Buildings, Energy & Environment or such other departments as

may be deemed necessary by the Government

Member:

g District Collector of the development area

Member:

h Three experts of national or international repute who possess

knowledge in urban governance, urban planning, conservation,

environment and transportation to be appointed by the Government

Member:

(2) Any other officer or expert whom the Government thinks necessary may be invited to the

meetings of the authority as special invitee.
