NOTIFICATION

The 5th January, 2026

No. TP- 17015/1/2022-DIR-TP (E-97101/4045-49.— WHEREAS, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh

in exercise of the power conferred by Section 129 read with Section 446 of the Arunachal Pradesh Municipal

Act, 2007 (Act No. 4 of 2008) and Section 111, 112, 113 and 116 of Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation

Act, 2019 (Act No. 8 of 2019), had prepared certain draft Rules, namely the “Arunachal Pradesh Municipal

Property Tax Rules, 2025”.

AND WHEREAS, the said draft Rules were uploaded on the official website of the Directorate of Town

Planning, Department of Urban Affairs @arunachaltp.nic.in and thereafter through a Public Notice published

in the local daily newspaper dated 7th October, 2025 inviting objections and suggestions from all the persons

likely to be affected thereby within 30 days from date of such publication.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the power conferred by the aforesaid provisions, the Governor of

Arunachal Pradesh is hereby pleased to make the following Rules to regulate, determination, assesment,

calculation, demand and collection of taxes on on immovable properties within Municipal bodies constituted

under Section 3 of the Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 2007 (Act, No. 4 of 2008) and Section 3 of the

Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Act No. 8 of 2019) of State of Arunachal Pradesh.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
