PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION

The 23rd January, 2026

No. DULB-14012/2/2026.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Arunachal Pradesh

Municipal Act, 2007 (Act No. 4 of 2008), the Government of Arunachal Pradesh hereby declares its intention

to constitute the area comprising the Tawang Urban Area as a Nagar panchayat.

If any individual or any department or anybody has any objection or suggestion with respect to the

intention of the Government to declare the above urban area as Municipal area, the same should be sent to

the Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, within 30 (thirty) days from the date of issue of this notice.

The Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, is hereby authorized to hear and dispose-off the claims and objections

relating to the intention of the Government to constitute Municipality in respect of above settlement and

submit the final proposal on expiry of one month.
