NOTIFICATION
The 13th March, 2026
No. PWRS/E-2462/2013(Pt.–II)/2638-2644.—WHEREAS, the Powers and Functions of the appropriate
authority under the Electricity Act, 2003, the Indian Telegraph Act,1885, and the Government of Arunachal
Pradesh Notification No. PWRS/E-2462/2013(Pt-II), dated, 29th August, 2019, are vested in the Governor of
Arunachal Pradesh and shall be exercised and discharged within the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
WHEREAS, it appears to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh that the land and the surface over such land at
the locations mentioned in the following Schedule, whether in possession of any person or otherwise, are required
for a public purpose, namely for construction of the “132 kV S/C (on D/C Tower) Kimi–Khuppi Transmission
Line” under a State Funded Project in Khuppi, Chudo, Pochis and Kimi Villages of West Kameng District,
Arunachal Pradesh;
WHEREAS, this Notification is made under provisions of Section 67, Section 68 and Section 164 of the
Electricity Act, 2003, Section 10 and Section 16 of Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and Notification No. PWRS/E-
2462/2013(Pt-II), dated 29th August, 2019, of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the powers and functions
of which are vested in the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh for the payment of compensation towards damages in the
Right of Way (RoW) of the aforementioned transmission line to be laid on and over the land described in the
Schedule below.
WHEREAS, the compensation to the affected party(ies) shall be paid, in mutatis mutandis, as per OFFICE
MEMORANDUM No. LM-134/2011(Pt-III), dated 2nd June, 2021. And compensation(s) for the surface
damages of land and the properties over there, as determined, shall be paid to the rightful owner(s) only against the
Unclassified State Forest (USF)/Private/Revenue Land Areas.
AND NOW THEREFORE, any person having any claim(s) of damage(s) on the said land for the said
purpose may file such claim(s) in writing to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Kameng District,
Bomdila, within 14 (Fourteen) days from the date of publication of this Notification by clearly stating the reason(s)
for such claim(s). And all processes for handing over of the land to requiring agency shall be completed within
21 (Twenty-One) days from the date of publication of this Notification; and the Deputy Commissioner, West
Kameng District, Bomdila, in his capacity shall dispose of the same after giving reasonable opportunity to
extinguish the claim (s).
