ADDENDUM NOTIFICATION

The 18th March, 2026

(Issued under Section 10(1) of Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land

Regulation Act, 1947 against land to be acquired at Sile area under Sile-Oyan Circle,

East Siang District Arunachal Pradesh)

No. LMD-13011/7/2025/1940.—WHEREAS, the powers and functions of the appropriate authority under

the Jhum Land Regulation Act, 1947 vested in the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh which shall be exercised

and discharged by him within the state.

AND WHEREAS, its appears to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh the lands in the locality as described

in the schedule below are required to be taken by the Government for public purpose at Sile area for construction

of Railway siding and its approach roads.

AND WHEREAS, under Section 10 of Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation

Act, 1947, Government may acquired any Jhum Land required for purpose public without formal acquisition

proceeding by giving an opportunity to those have right in the land and after payment of a reasonable

compensation so determined by the Government which shall not be less than the amount computed under the

provisions of extant Land Acquisition Act for the time being force by the requiring department.

AND WHEREAS, under Section 10 of Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation

(Amendment) Act, 2024 vide Notification No. LMD-13011/7/2025/144 dated, Itanagar, the 17th April, 2025,

it was notified that an area measuring 2.87 Hectares located at Sile-Rani Village, East Siang District,

Arunachal Pradesh to be acquired for establishment of Railway Siding and its approach roads.

AND WHEREAS, a requisition for addendum of the area required for the Project aforementioned has

been received from the requiring agency i.e. NHPC Limited, Dibang Multipurpose Project Mayu Sector, Po.

Roing, District Lower Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh vide their letter No. NH/DMP/OP/2025/1027 dated

5th September, 2025. The area required after addendum measures 30.513 Ha.

AND NOW, therefore, land in the locality as described below are hereby acquired under Section 10 of

Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation Act, 1947 at Sile-Rani area for establishment of

Railway Siding and its approach roads.

Any person who has any objection to the acquisition of the said land for the purpose, may file such

objection in writing to the office of the Deputy Commissioner/DLSO East Siang District, Pasighat within 30

(thirty) days from the dated of publication of this Notification by clearly stating the reason for such objection

and Deputy Commissioner, East Siang District Pasighat in her capacity shall dispose of the same after giving

opportunity for hearing to extinguished their claims of the land owners.
