NOTIFICATION

The 22nd May, 2026

(Under Section 10 of the Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation

(Amendment) Act, 2024)

No. LMD-13011/7/2026/339.— WHEREAS, the powers and functions of the appropriate authority under

Section 10 of Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2024 is vested in

the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and it is the competence of the Goverment to notify any land within the

State of Arunachal Pradesh for public purposes under the relevant Act/Rules etc.

AND WHEREAS, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is satisfied that the land mentioned in the schedule

below is needed for a public purpose, namely, for construction of 132 KV D/C Kimi-Khuppi Transmission Line

and associated bays at Kimi and Khuppi Sub-Stations as part of the projects funded by the State Government

at Khuppi Village area under Thrizino Sub-Division in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh.

AND WHEREAS, under Section 10 of Balipara/Tirap/Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation

(Amendment) Act, 2024, Government may acquire any Jhum Land required for public purpose without formal

acquisition proceedings by giving an opportunity to those having rights in the land and after payment of a

reasonable compensation so detremined by the Government which shall not be less than the amount computed

under the provisions of extant Law i.e, the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 for the time being in force.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Governor of Arunachal Praesh do hereby declare that the land described in the

schedule below is hereby notified for the above mentioned purposes under Section 10 of the Balipara/Tirap/

Sadiya Frontier Tract Jhum Land Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2024 for consruction of 132 KV D/C

Kimi-Khuppi Transmission Line and associated bays at Kimi and Khuppi as part of the projects funded by the

State Government at Khuppi Village area under Thrizino Sub-Division in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh.

Any person (s) who has any objections to the acquisition of the said land for the said purpose may file

such objections in writing to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Kameng District within a period of

30 (thirty) days from the date of publication of this notification clearly stating the reason for such objections

and the Deputy Commissioner, in their capacity shall dispose off the same after giving reasonable opportunity

of being heard to extinguish the claim of the land owners.

The Deputy Commissioners, West Kameng District shall take possession of the above-mentioned land

for the said purpose after tendering payment of compensation to the land owners/person interested.

The map and plan may be inspected in the office of the District Land Revenue and Settlement Officer,

West Kameng District, Bomdila during Office Hours.
