Applicability of Notification :
The notification and demarcation of “Urban Areas” shall be applicable to :-
(a) Implementation of various Urban Development and Town Planning policies and programmes of the
Government of India and Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
(b) Extension and Enforcement of Arunachal Pradesh Urban and Country Planning Act, 2007 (Act No. 3
of 2008) thereby regulating the growth and development of the town by having an approved Master
Plan indicating the various land use, services and infrastructure development plan.
(c) Extension and Enforcement of Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 2007 (Act, No. 4 of 2008) thereby
constituting the Urban Local Bodies, Defining jurisdiction of Urban Local Bodies of municipalities
and municipal corporations and Panchayati Raj Institutions.
(d) Extension and Enforcement of Arunachal Pradesh, Building Bye-Laws 2019.
(e) Restricting scope of various Development programmes of Rural Development Department, like Jay,
JGSY, SGSY, etc.
If any individual or any department or NGOs, CBOs has any objection or suggestion with respect to
proposed Urban Area boundary of Likabali District Headquarters under Lower Siang District, Napanghung
District Headquarters under Bichom District and Ziro District Headquarters under Lower Subansiri District, the
same should be submitted to the respective Deputy Commissioners within 30 (thirty) days from the date of
issue of this notice. In absence of any claims and objections, it will be presumed that the Urban Area
boundary is finalized.
