No. PPG(P) 116/2014/06.- As per procedure as laid down in Govt. OM No. FMP.21/82/369

dated 27th June 1988, pensioners/family pensioners are required to submit life certificates in the

month of November every year to the pension disbursing bank branch for continued payment of

pension. Keeping in view the need to make the process of submission of life certificates more

convenient and in line with the technological advancement in the banking industry, the Government

of Assam has decided to allow pensioners/family pensioners to submit life certificates to any branch

of the Bank through which his/her pension is being disbursed.

In this regard, all banks are hereby directed to follow the above procedural modification in

the pension process and issue necessary instructions to all concerned accordingly.

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance (Estt.-A) Department vide U/O No. FE No.

737/16 dated 13th December, 2016.
