No.228921/2.- In exercise of powers conferred under Sub-section 3 of Section 1

of the Assam Municipal Corporation Act, 2022 (Assam Act No. VIII of 2022) the

Governor of Assam is pleased to direct that the provisions of the Act shall come into

force in respect of Silchar Municipal Board and the proposed Silchar Municipal

Corporation areas with effect from 28th September, 2022.
