Sub. : Clearance for digging permission in the RoW to Companies viz. Assam Gas

Company Ltd. (AGCL), Adani Total Gas Ltd. (ATGL) and Purva Bharathi Gas

Private Ltd. (PBGPL) to facilitate laying of City Gas Distribution pipeline system

in the Urban/Peri urban/Industrial areas.

It has been informed by the Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprise Department that in

order to facilitate laying of City Gas Distribution pipeline system certain reforms relating to

permission and RoW have been felt absolutely essential as requested by the three major stake

holders viz-, Assam Gas Company Ltd. (AGCL). Adani Total Gas Ltd and Purva Bharathi Gas

Private Ltd.

After consideration of all aspects of the matter and with a view to create an atmosphere

for industrial investment for the progress of the State by making land readily available for gas

pipelines. Governor of Assam is pleased to direct that the Deputy Commissioners shall ensure

issue of digging permission in the RoW by the Competent Authority as notified by the Central

Government under Section 2 (a) and Section 3 (1) of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines

(Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962, to the aforementioned applicant companies

preferably within 15 days but in no case later than 30 days from the date of submission of the

detailed plan.
