e-File No. 1/53240/2022.- In pursuance of Office Memorandum No. 13(4)/2020-

EG-II (Vol-10) dated 29th September, 2022 received from MeitY, GOI and sub-clause(ii)

of clause (b) of Sub-Section (4) of Section 4 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of

Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (as amended) read with

rule 5 of the Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation,

Knowledge) Rules 2020, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, having

been authorized by the Central Government, hereby notifies that the Welfare of Minorities

& Development Department, Assam is allowed to perform Aadhaar authentication, on

voluntary basis, for issuance of Minorities certificate in the state of Assam.

The Welfare of Minorities & Development Department, Assam shall comply with

provisions of Aadhaar Act 2016, Aadhaar Regulations 2016 and O. M.s, circulars and

guidelines issued by the Central Government with respect to use of the Aadhaar

authentication.
