NOTIFICATION

No. E-272933/3.- In pursuance to General Administration Department, Government

of Assam’s Notification vide ECF No. 263174/1 dated 31st December, 2022 vide which

the district of Biswanath was merged back with the original undivided district of Sonitpur

and in light of the fact that the Zilla Parishads were not dissolved by the Government of

Assam, therefore in the interest of public service the Governor of Assam is pleased to

allow the Additional Deputy Commissioner i/c in the erstwhile Biswanath District to

represent the Deputy Commissioner in the meeting of the Biswanath Zilla Parishad

Committee for smooth functioning of the existing Biswanath Zilla Parishad.

This has the approval of the Hon’ble Minister, Panchayat & Rural Development,

Assam.
