No. ABP. 129/2018/174.- In pursuance of this Department’s O. M. No. ABP. 07/2019/3,

dated 2nd February 2019, O. M. No. ABP. 07/2019/4, dated 10th April, 2019 and O.

M. No. ABP.129/2018/170, dated 21st December, 2022, the Government of Assam, in

order to give opportunities to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) who are not

covered under the existing schemes of reservations for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled

Tribes and Socially and Economically Backward Classes, had decided to give the benefit

of 10% reservation to EWSs.

However, it is to be re iterated that the EWS certificate issued by Circle

Officer/ Circle Officer (Attached) in a particular financial year is valid for that particular

financial year only.
