(1) of the Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993 (as amended). I, Shri Gulab

Chand Kataria, Governor of Assam, do hereby appoint Shri Justice Ajit Borthakur, (Retd.). Former

Judge, Gauhati High Court, to be the Member of the Assam Human Rights Commission as per

Section 21(2)(b) of the Chapter V of the Act with effect from the date he assumes charge of his

office.

Gigen at Raj Bhawan, Guwahati on Twenty Seventh day of December in the year Two

Thousand Twenty Three in the Seventy Fourth year of the Republic of India.
