NOTIFICATION

No.ECF. 439104/2024/16.- The Governor of Assam is pleased to declare the schedule of
the land given below as Compensatory Afforestation Reserve at the disposal of the District
Commissioner, Sonitpur. .
This land shall be used for providing lands towards compensatory afforestation mandated
to be given to the jurisdictional Forest Authorities under Environment & Forest Department from
time to time in lieu of necessary diversion of forest land for important projects of public nature -.
National Highways, State Highways, Major District Roads, Power Projects, Exploration & Production
(E&P) Projects etc.
SCHEDULE OF THE LAND:
Location
Govt. un-surveyed land under Sonitpur District, surrounded by
Burhachapori Wildlife Sanctuary in East and South, 1st Addition of
Burhachapori Wildlife Sanctuary and 2nd Addition of Orang National
Park & Tiger Reserve in the North and Kochmara Reserve Forest in
West.
