No. AAP. 60/2020/304.- WHEREAS, in compliance of the directions at Para 140 (1) (ii)

read with Para 140 (1) (vii) passed by the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court dated 20th June, 2025

in W. A. 59/2023 (Kamal Debnath Vs State of Assam) and other linked cases, the Governor of

Assam is pleased to withdraw the Govt. order of discharging Shri Dhrubajyoti Chakraborty, from

Assam Civil Service vide Notification No. AAP. 150/2018/153 dated 2nd January, 2019.

AND WHEREAS, as directed by the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court, the case of Shri

Dhrubajyoti Chakraborty, who was on probation in Assam Civil Service at the time of discharge

vide Notification No. AAP. 150/2018/153 dated 2nd January, 2019, is considered and upon

consideration he is not found fit for confirmation and being a member of the Assam Civil

Service.

NOW THEREFORE, the Governor of Assam, in exercise of the powers conferred under

Rule 20 (C) of the Assam Civil Service Rule 1998, is pleased to discharge Shri Dhrubajyoti

Chakraorty, ACS (Probationer) from service with effect from 2nd January, 2019 that is the date

of discharge given vide Notification No. AAP. 150/2018/153, which stands substituted as directed

by the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court.
