No. SEC.72/2022/238.- In supersession of earlier notification vide No. SEC.72/2022/177 dated

05.07.2025 and in exercise of powers conferred under Section 8 of the Assam Municipal Corporation

Act, 2022 read with Rule 3 of the Assam Minicipal Corporation Election Rules, 2022, Assam State

Election Commission prescribes Rs. 3.00 lakh (Rupees three lakh) only as maximum celling of expenditure

to be incurred by a candidate contesting as Ward Councillor in the ensuing General Election to the Silchar

Municipal Corporation.
