'Assam Swatantrata Sainik Relief Rules, 1988' the Governor of Assam is pleased to enhance the rate of

State Freedom Fighters Pension from existing Rs. 21,000/- (Rupees twenty one thousand) per month to

Rs. 36,000/- (Rupees thirty six thousand) per month. Arrear due to enhanced rate from 1st August, 2021 to

31st December, 2021 will be paid in due course subject to availability of fund.

This enhanement is applicable to all pensioners who are drawing the state Freedom Fighters Pension

from the state Exchequer.

The expenditure is debitable to the Head of Account - "2235-Social Security and Welfare-60-

others Social Security and Welfare Programme-102-Pension under Social Security Scheme-0974-Pension

to Freedom Fighters and their encoders-000-21-Pension/Gratuity-01-Pension.

This has been issued with the concurrence of Finance (EC-II) Department vide their U/O

No. 701/2021, dated 4th October, 2021.

No. FSA 126/2021/21.- Whereas, Shri Altaf Hussain, Deputy Controller of Legal Metrology (Zonal)

Guwahati was placed under deemed suspension vide order No. FSA.187/2018/92 dated 29th September,

2021 consequent upon his arrest by crime Branch, Police Station, Guwahati in connection Crime Branch

Police Station, Police Commissionerate, Guwahati case No. 11.2021/, US 120(b)/420/409/467/948/471

IPC and placing him under Judicial Custody.

Whereas, Shri Altaf Hussain had submitted a petition dated 26th November, 2021 for re-instatement

in service in terms of the order dated 22nd November, 2021 passed by the Hon'ble High Court, Gauhati in

W.P.(C) No. 6088/2021. The Hon'ble High Court vide order dated 22nd November, 2021 had directed

respondent Nos-2 and 3 to examine the petitioner's representation dated 3rd November, 2021 for re-

instatement and take a decision on the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a

certified copy of the order of the Hon'ble High Court.

Now, upon examination of the matter, it is observed that nature of the allegation against the delinquent

officer requires further enquiry and examination in consultation with the Judicial Department. In this connection,

Principal Secretary, Home & Political Department has been requested to submit a report on the matter vide

No. FSA.126/2021/20, dated 9th December, 2021.

Considering the facts as above, the suspension of Shri Altaf Hussain affected vide order No. FSA.

187/2018/92 dated 29th September, 2021 shall continue until further orders and the representation of Shri

Altaf Hussain is accordingly disposed of.

TAD/BC/468/2015/43 dated 25th November, 2021 excluding the seats reserved for women in 2010 and

2016 elections;

Whereas, the WPT & BC Department vide No. TAD/BC/468/2015/44 dated 25th November,

2021 has entrusted the Director, WPT & BC, Assam to conduct lottery in transparent manner for reservation

of seats for women excluding the seats reserved for women in the last elections held in 2010 and 2016;

Whereas the Director, WPT & BC, Assam has conducted lottery and drawn the Minutes of

proceeding of lottery vide No. DW/TKAC/68/2021-22/3097 dated 20th December, 2021;
