eCF No. 203750/27.- Section 148 of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Act, 1969 has
been amended by inserting clause (d) "Buildings and Lands occupied and used by Ex-Servicemen
and their widows" vide Notification No. LGL.172/2021/3 dated 28th September, 2022.
Consequent upon amendment of Section 148 of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Act,
1969 the payment of property taxes for buildings and lands occupied and used by Ex-servicemen
(who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or not in the Armed Forces of the Union and has
been released therefrom otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or
inefficiency) and their widows has been exempted.
