Whereas, the Assam Police Headquarters has submitted vide their letter No.FA/XXII/1787/06/Pt.
l36/52 dated 14th August, 2023 that Late Gunin Gohain, APS retired from service on 30th June, 2009 and
that he has expired on 17th December, 2022, and;
Whereas, the Assam Police Headquarters, vide their letter NO.FA/XXII/1787/06/Pt.l 36/52 dated
14th August, 2023, has also recommended revocation of the suspension of the Officer.
Now, therefore, after careful examination of all the facts, the Governor of Assam is pleased to order
the closure of the Departmental Proceedings against Late Gunin Gohain, APS (Retd.) with immediate effect
and the Departmental Proceedings drawn up against him are thus finally disposed off.
The period of suspension of Late Gunin Gohain, APS (Retd.) w.e.f. 26th August, 2006 to 30th June,
2009 shall be treated as on duty only for the purpose of disbursement of family pension.
