Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell, Assam vide letter No. SVC/RSI/Case No. 08/2025/
1050-A dated 5th April, 2025 that Shri Tanbir Yusuf Ahmed, ALRS, then Circle Cfficer,
Dalgaon Revenue Circle, Dist-Darrang was arrested on 4th April, 2025 in connection with
Vigilance PS Case No. 08/2025 U/S 13(1 )(b)/13(2) and 12 of the PC Act, 1988 and he has
been remanded to police custody for 3 (three) days.
Therefore, pending drawl of Disciplinary Proceedings under the provisions of the Assam
Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964 and in exercise of powers conferred under Sub-
rule 2 of Rule 6 of Assam Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964, the Governor of
Assam, is pleased to order that Shri Tanbir Yusuf Ahmed, ALRS (DR-2019), then Circle
Officer, Dalgaon Reverue Circle, Dist.- Darrang and currently Circle Officer (A), Samaguri
Revenue Circle, Dist.- Nagaon is deemed to have been placed under suspension with effect
from the date of his arrest i.e. on 4th April, 2025 and until further orders.
During the period of suspension, the headquarter of the said Shri Tanbir Yusuf Ahmed,
ALRS (U/S) will be same as his last place of posting, subject to review if dsemed necessary

SUBJECT :- Timely publication of Government Notifications and other important matters in the
weekly Official Gazette.
I am directed to say that it has come to the notice of Government that important notification having
bearing on statutes and matters of immediate public interest are sometimes published in the Official Gazette
on date much later than prescribed. Government have decided, therefore, to introduce the following
system with immediate effect, which must be strictly adhered to in sending notice to the Assam Government
Press for publication in the Official Gazette.
1. In the first instance, it has to be noted that the printing of the weekly Gazette must be completed
by the end of every Tuesday so that it may be duly published on every Wednesday.

2. Every notification and every other matter which is required to be printed and published in a
particular issue of the Official Gazette must, therefore, reach the Director, Assam Government Press on the
Monday of the week preceding the week in which it is required to be published. If this is not done it is
infructuous requesting the Director, Assam Government Press to publish such notification or other matter in
the next issue of the Gazette, the expression usually inserted in all endorsements made to the Director.
3. Wherever it is necessary to print and publish a notification on a specified date (excluding such
Notification or communicate as are to be published in Gazette extraordinary) clear instruction of that effect
must be given to the Director, Assam Government Press, both on the body of such notification within the
indication at the top in the red ink and is a separate covering.
4. To achieve the objective in papers 2 and 3, it is essential that proper discretion should be
exercised by the concerned officers in the Department or office and all matters for publication in the
Gazette should scrutinised and sent to the Press after careful application.
5. As for publication of any matters in a Gazette, Extraordinary, the existing procedure whereby the
prior approval of the General Administration Department is to be obtained will continue.

The Kamarupa Anusandhana Samiti or the Assam Research Society, Gauhati is the main subject in
the carrying on researches in the matter relating to History Archaeology Ethography, etc. It has a library of
rare books. Journal/historical and antiquarian subjects. The premises of the Samiti, situated on the southern
bank of the Dighali Tank, Gauhati, remains open from 2 p. m. to 5 p. m. on all days except Monday and
Gazetted and local holidays or which it remains closed.
Information which may lead to the recovery of any historical religion article including more manuscript
will be thankfully received.

The Reading Room at Belvedere and the Lending Section of this Library are open on all working
days from 9 a. m. to 8. p. m. and from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. on Sunday and holidays notified by the Library
and the Second Saturday of every month.
The Reading Room at Esplanode is open on all working days from10 a. m. to 5 p. m.
The Childrens Wing at Belvedere remains open on all working days from 3 p. m. to 6 p. m. and
Sundays and Holidays from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. for the children between 5 and 14 years.
The Library is entirely closed on the Republic Day, Independence Day and Mahatma Gandhi's
birth day on the 26th January, 15th August and 2nd October every year respectively.
Persons not less than 18 years of age are eligible to use the Library. Both the Reading Room and
the Lending Section are free to be used by any one residing in any part of the India Dominion. There is no
subscription to pay but only security is each essential for borrowing books.
