No. 436069/233.- Whereas a Departmental Proceeding was initiated against Shri Jayanta

Mazumder, the then Executive Engineer (PHE), O/o ACE (PHE), UAZ vide Show Cause

Notice No. 436069/21 dated 30th May, 2024 for allegedly producing a forged HSLC Certificte

as age proff; and

Whereas Shri Jayanta Mazumder vide letter dated 15th June, 2024 submitted his written

statement in defence to the charges framed against him by explaining the facts and circumstances

of his case; and

Whereas after careful examination of the written statement in defence submitted by shri

Jayanta Mazumder and the materials on record, it was decided to hold an enquiry into the

matter and accordingly, an Inquiring Officer of the State Enquiry Office was appointed as the

Inquiring Authority by an order issued vide No. 436069/36 dated 8th August 2024; and

Whereas the Inquiring Authority vide letter No. ABE. 20/2024/200 dated 16th May,

2025 submitted his enquiry report of the Departmental Proceeding against Shri Jayanta

Mazumder, the then EE (PHE), wherein it is stated that the charges against Shri Jayanta

Mazumder, the then EE (PHE) O/o ACE (PHE), UAZ, are not proved; and

Whereas after careful examination of the enquary report, submitted by the Inquiring

Authority and on the materials on record, it has been decided to drop the Departmental

Proceeding drwan up against Shri Jayanta Mazumder by exonerating him from the charges

framed against him;

Now therfore, the Governor of Assam is pleased to exonerate Shri Jayanta Mazumder,

the then EE (PHE) O/o ACE (PHE), UAZ, from the charges framed against him and drop the

Departmental Proceeding drawn up vide Show Cause Notice No. 436069/21 dated 30th May,.

2024 and thus the proceeding is disposed of.
