NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 10th January 2001

S.O. 39(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by Section 17A of the Census Act, 1948 (37 of 1948), the

Central Government hereby extends the provisions of the

said Act, for conduct of post-enumeration survey relating

to Population Enumeration of Census of India 2001 The

post-enumeration survey shall be conducted in Jammu &

Kashmir and Shimla District of Hunachal Pradesh from

15th January, 2001 to 15th March, 2001 and from 1st

April, 2001 to 30th June, 2001 in all other States and

Union Territories
