NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 12th January, 2001

S.O. 40(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by sub section (3) and sub-section (5) of section 10 of the

Tea Act, 1953 and in supersession of S.O 175(E) dated

2nd March 1985, except as respect things due or omitted

to have been done, the Central Government hereby makes

the following further amendment in the Tea (Marketing)

Control Order, 1984, namely —

1 (1) This Order may be called the Tea (Marketing)

Control (Amendment) Order 2001

(2) They come into force on the date of its

publication in the Official Gazette

2. In the Tea (Marketing) Control Order 1984, in

para 17 for the words "not less than 70% or such higher

percentage as may be specified from time to time by the

Board" the following words shall be substituted namely :•—

"Such percentage as may be specified from time to

time by the registering authority with prior approval of

the Central Government"
