NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 23rd January, 2001

O.N. 2 (E).— In pursuance of sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph

17 of the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968, the Election

Commission of India hereby makes the following further amendments to its Notification

No.56/2000/JUD.III, dated 30^th July, 1999, as amended from time to time, namely >

In Table I (National parties), appended to the said Notification -

(i)

the entries at serial number 6, 6A and 6B, relating to Janata Dal

Janata Dal (Secular) and Janata Dal (United) respectively shall be

deleted;

(ii)

serial number "7" shall be renumbered as "6"

II.

In Table II (State parties), appended to the said Notification -

(i)

against the entry "Arunachal Pradesh" under column 2, the entries

relating to "2. Janata Party", under columns 3, 4 and 5 shall be

deleted;
