NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 29th January, 2001

S.O. 79(E).—-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 3 of National

Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) and in supercession of the notification of the Government of

India in the then Ministry of Surface Transport No. S.O. 488 (E) dated 23^rd May, 2000 except

as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supercession, the Central

Government hereby authorises Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition) Burdwan

District, West Bengal as the Competent Authority, to perform the functions of such authority

under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official

Gazette, in respect of the land of stretch from Km 511/000 to Km 581/457 of National

Highway No. 2 (for widening of existing National Highway as well as constructing bypass, if

any) in the state of West Bengal as specified in the Schedule below, till further orders.

Brief Description of land with or without structure falling within proposed right-of-way of

National Highway No.2 from Km 511 /000 to Km 581 /457 in the state of West Bengal.

S.0.80(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of National

Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) and in supercession of notification of the Government of India

in the Ministry of Surface Transport No. S.0.461 (E) dated 12* May, 2000 in so far as it relates

to the District of Howrah except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such

sup«»3ftsi&n, the Central Government hereby authorises Additional District Magistrate (Land

Acquisition),

Howrah District,

West Bengal as the competent authority, to perform the

functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this

notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the land of stretch from Km. 17/60 to Km. 74/00

of National Highway No 6 (for widening of existing National Highway including construction of

bypass, if any) in the State of West Bengal as specified in the Schedule below, till further orders.
