ORDER

New Delhi, the 14th February, 2001

STAMPS

S.O. 132(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Indian

Stamp Act, 1899 (2 of 1899), the Central Government hereby

remits the duty with which the bonds in the nature of prom-

issory notes described as Damodar Valley Corporation

Public Sector Taxable Bonds bearing distinctive numbers

from 000001 to 750000 of rupees one thousand each of the

aggregate value of rupees seventy five crores only allot-

ted on 9-12-1996 by Damodar valley Corporation, Calcutta,

are chargeable under the said Act.
