CORRIGENDUM

New Delhi, the 19th February, 2001

Subject :—Anti-dumping investigations concerning

imports of Potassium Permanganate from

China, Hong Kong and Tiwan—Preliminary

Findings.

No. 46/1/2000-DGAD.—The Designated Authority,

having regard to the Customs Act, 1975 as amended in

1995 and the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment

and Collection of Anti-Dumping Duty on Damped Articles

and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, hereby makes

the following clarification in the Preliminary Findings

notified vide notification No. 46/1/2000-DGAD dated

30th December, 2000

Para 6 under Para E of the Preliminary Findings shall

read as follows:

"The product under consideration in the present

investigation is Potassium Permanganate which is an

inorganic chemical. Potassium Permanganate is a dark

purple crystalline material. It is a compound of manganese,

potassium and oxygen. The product is odourless and

soluble in water. There is no viable substitute for Potassium

Permanganate as per the information of the petitioner. The

chemical formula of Potassium Permanganate is KMnO4."
