ORDER

New Delhi, the 22nd February, 2001

G. S. R. 105(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (lOof

1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order to amend the Kerosene (Restriction on Use and Fixation

of Ceiling Price) Order, 1993, namely :—

I (1) This Order may be called the Kerosene (Restriction on Use and Fixation of Ceiling Price) (Amendment)

Order, 2001.

(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Kerosene (Restriction on Use and Fixation of Ceiling Price) Order, 1993, in Clause 2,-—

(a) for item (h) the following shall be substituted, namely:—

"(h) 'parallel marketeer' means a person, firm, company, institution, association of persons, or

organisation engaged in parallel marketing system";

(b) for item (i) the following shall be substituted, namely .—

"(0 'parallel marketing system' means a system, other than the public distribution system, under which

a person imports kerosene, or stores, transports, packs, distributes or sells imported kerosene,

under his own arrangement.".
