NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th February, 2001

S.O. 162(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Contract Labour

(Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (37 of 1970), the Central Government, after consultation with the Central Advi-

sory Contract Labour Board, hereby prohibits with effect from the date of publication of this notification the employment

of contract labour in the job of helper engaged for executing the work of repairing pipes and replacing pipelines in the

establishment of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited at their plant, Uran, Maharashtra.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 26th February, 2001

S.O. 163(E).—in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Contract Labour

(Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (37 of 1970), the Central Government, after consultation with the Central Advisory

Contract Labour Board, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the

Ministry of Labour number SO. 779(E), dated the 9th December, 1976, namenly :—

In the said notification after the proviso, the, following provisos shall be inserted namely :—

"Provided further that the provisions of this notification shall not apply to the establishment of the National

Project on Rinderpest Eradication, Department of Animal Husbandry, Gate No. 32, First Floor, Jawaharlal

Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, for guarding the building up to 31st March, 200 subject to the condition thai wages

to be paid to contract labour shall not be less than the minimum emoluments consisting of basic plus dearness

allowance paid to the similar regular employee of the establishment:

Provided that the notification shall not apply to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, Safdarjung

Hospital, New Delhi, and Lady Harding Medical College and Associated Hospital, New Delhi, for a period of

one year subject to the condition that wages to be paid to contract labour shall not be less than the minimim

emoluments consisting of basic plus dearness allowance paid to the lowest category of a regular employee of

the hospital."

Footnote:—The principal notification was issued vide number S.O. 779(E) dated 9th December, 1976 and subsequently

amended vide number :—

(a) The principal notification was not made applicable to National Research Centre for Soyabean, Khandwa Road,

Indore vide S.O. 163(E) dated the 10th March, 1999 for a period of two years from the 10th March, 1999 in job

of watching of buildings.

(b) The principal notification was not made applicable to INS Utkrosh, INS Dega and INS Mandovi vide S.O.

661(E) dated 13th August, 1999 for a period of one year from 13lh August, 1999 in the job of watching of

buildings.

(c) The principal notification was not made applicable vide S.O. 1236(E) dated 13th December, 1999 for a period of

one year from 13th December, 1999 to the offices of the Joint Secretary (Training) and-Chief Administrative

Officer of the Ministry of Defence located in —

(i)

C-II Block and B Block, behind South Block, New Delhi;

(ii)

L-Block, M Block and Plot No. 108, behind North Block, New Delhi;

(iii)

G-Block, H Block and J Block, behind South Block, New Delhi; and

(iv)

West Block III, V, VI and Vill, R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
