NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 1st March, 2001

S.0.187(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 15 of the Forward Contracts

(Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of 1952), the Central Government hereby declares that the provisions of the said section shall

apply to Soybean, Soyoil and Soymeal in the whole of India; and under clause (a) of section 16 of the said Act fixes the rate

prevailing at the time at which the forward market in the said goods closed on the date of this notification, as the rate at

which any such forward contract entered into on or before the said date and remaining to be performed after the aforesaid

date shall be deemed to be closed.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 1 st March, 2001

S.0.188(E).—The Central Government, having considered in consultation with the Forward Markets Commis-

sion, the application for grant of recognition, made under section 5 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of

1952), by the SOPA Board of Trade, Indore and being satisfied that it would be in the interest of the trade and also in public

interest so to do, hereby grants in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 of the said Act, recognition to the said

exchange for a period of five years from 1st March, 2001 to 28th February. 2006 (both days inclusive) in respect of forward

contracts in Soybean, Soyoil and Soymeal.

2. The recognition hereby granted is subject to the condition that the said exchange shall comply with such

directions as may, from time to time be given by the Forward Markets Commission.
