NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 13th March, 2001

S.O.2J9(E).— exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of National

Highways nci, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the District

Revenue Officer, Office of the District Collector, District Thiruvallur, Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu

as the competent authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Act with

effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the

stretch of land from Km 11/0 to Km 52/8 (Madras-Vijayawada Section) of National Highway

No. 5 (for widening of existing National Highway including construction of bypasses, if any)

in the State of Tamil Nadu as specified in the Schedule below till further orders.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 13th March, 2001

s.o.22i(E).— Whereas it appears to the Central Government for public purpose to acquire land

mentioned in the Schedule annexed hereto, for building (four lanlng) of National Highway No.4 between

Harihar and Maharashtra Border (km 282.0 to km 592.0) in the State of Kamataka.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National

Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby gives notice of its intention to

acquire such land falling in Taluka of Byadgi and Haven in the district of Haveri as per Schedule

given below.

The plan bearing No.NH-4/LA/Byadgi:Haveri/01 to 12 dated 27th November,2000 of the area

covered by this notification can be inspected In the office of the competent authority, that is, the

Manager, Project Implementation Unit, National Highways Authority of India, D.CCompound( office of

Superindenting Engineer, Public Works Department Circle), Dharwad, Kamataka.

Any person interested in the said land may submit objections, if any to the competent authority

within 21 days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the notification are made

available to the public.
