NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 24th November, 2001

S.0.1165(E).— in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section

3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby

authorises the District Revenue Officer, Office of the Collector & District Magistrate,

Collectoraie, District Salem, Tamil Nadu as the competent authority to perform the

functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of

this Notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of Land reach from Km. 163.40 to

Km. 199.20 of Bangalore-Salem-Madurai Section of National Highway No.7 (for

widening of existing National Highway including construction of bypasses, if any) in the

State of Tamil Nadu as specified ia the Schedule below, till fiirther orders.
